A Certificate by Research (CRes) involves the submission of a completed thesis based on an independent research project. Participants studying a Certificate by Research work independently with the support of a supervisor and the St, George's Council. Participants may be required to attend other classes to help expand their skills in the area of research. A CRes is awarded on any program that focuses on a participant's research activity.
This Certificate by Research program aims to develop research skills and, as a result, provide a good preparation for postdoctoral studyParticipants might want to apply for the CRes if they are considering postgraduate studies in research, but would rather carry out their research than follow a taught course.
